Inherited from my mother, I loved the design, colors, and shape. The patterns of nandina and Japanese goldthread are beautiful. Although there are some scratches, cracks, and chips, I used it as interior decoration and for celebrations like New Year's.
It's a three-tiered jubako (lacquered food box) with a design of gold-painted color, featuring bamboo grass, Japanese goldthread, and nandina, all auspicious motifs.
It seems it was purchased at an antique market back then.
I hope someone who understands its age will appreciate it, or perhaps someone who would like to repair it with kintsugi (golden joinery).
I believe it's a vintage item.
Jubako are said to represent the layering of happiness.
☆ There is a crack of about 1 cm on the front left corner of the lid.
The second tier's bowl has cracks, chips, and scratches, and has been repaired.
The bottoms of the first and third tiers have kiln marks, but are in good condition.
There is some soiling on the tops of each tier.
The patterns appear to be in the same condition as they were originally, and the gold paint is also almost intact.
