This is a wooden thumb hook for saxophone, made of mahogany. Mahogany is often used for electric guitar bodies, known for its rich, warm mid-range tones. It offers excellent sustain and a quick response. It can also bring a sharp tone and clear, bright sound to the saxophone. When I tried it on a Yanagisawa T50 alto saxophone, the sound had a good attack, and the sound became brighter from the low to high range. This item does not come with the original packaging box, but will be carefully wrapped in cushioning material for shipping. This is a very rare part, as it is no longer in production.
