This is a rare and exceptional instrument, the Japanese-made Gallagher GL-15. While various companies in Japan sold copy models from the 70s, only this Kanda Shokai x Terada Gakki brand was officially licensed by J.W. Gallagher. This is a top-of-the-line model with a solid wood top, of which only 50 were produced. The original price was 150,000 yen. Information is scarce, and it is now considered a phantom guitar. While there are some age-related scratches, there is no bridge lift or top bulging, and the neck is straight. The sound and playability are outstanding. The neck has been reset, so the string height is about 2.2mm. In addition, it has a slim neck, making it very easy to play, and the saddle has plenty of height remaining. There is no fret buzz or dead spots. Valuable materials are used, and the overtones are superb. Despite its powerful resonance, it produces an unbelievably beautiful tone, making it a guitar you should play at least once in your life. The frets are 80-90% remaining and are shiny, and the tuners are also clean. The nut and saddle have been replaced with Tusq. Overall, the playing condition is quite good, and the fact that it remains in this condition is a miracle. However, due to minor scratches and wear, the neck reset history (although improved), and the lack of a hard case, it is being offered at a bargain price.
