This is a tenugui (Japanese hand towel) with a "Kamawanu" pattern. It's the type that can be spread out horizontally for display. It's difficult to tell from the photos, but the color is a dull, dark gray (I apologize for not being able to describe it well). There are fold lines. There are some what appear to be original scratches on the fabric. There are no tears. The "wa" pattern in "Kamawanu" seems to be different from the original. It looks like it might be a collaboration with a "Rien" (theater) but I don't know enough to say for sure. I think this is a type you don't see very often. I'm selling it to anyone who is interested.
