I received this from my father-in-law, who was involved in antiques, and he said it was a very good piece. It has been displayed in a cabinet for a long time. The exterior has a thin hammered finish and is brown. The black and gold painted design is chic, and it seems suitable for occasions like New Year's. It swings slightly when placed down, but it settles quickly. I don't think you see these very often. It is unused, but it is not new, and I have not polished it, so please understand that it shows signs of age.
