The Nikon SB-12 Speedlight for the Nikon F3 was one of the accessories available from the F3's initial release, and it was the first TTL (Through-The-Lens) flash unit for Nikon cameras. When combined with the Nikon F3 body, TTL auto flash photography is possible. TTL auto flash allows for a wide range of aperture settings from f/2 to f/22 (ASA/ISO 100), expanding the flash's metering range. Operation has been confirmed.
