People who study with these kinds of books can probably read music, so I don't think it's a problem without the CD. If you can't read music, you probably won't be able to progress with the exercises in this book. You shouldn't buy it. There are probably no markings. In my opinion, the inside is in good condition. Instant purchase OK.
