Once a year, for about two weeks, we keep the fire going continuously at the kiln, at a temperature of around 1200 degrees Celsius, and slowly bake the pieces. Ten days later, we take them out of the kiln, lightly polish them, wash them by hand, and inspect them for water leaks before shipping.
