Large antique washbasin. A magnet sticks to it, but the material is unknown. Similar items online are described as galvanized zinc. Some are said to be from France in the 1950s, but details are unclear. There are traces of what appears to be a sticker on the side, but it's illegible, and the manufacturer is unknown. The only marking that can be read seems to indicate the size, with the number 40. I purchased it from an antique shop quite a while ago, and I believe it was in the 20,000 yen range.
