Shinobue flute, Shishida-ryu Chikusui, 4-hon choshi, 6-hole, Tenchi-to-maki, natural color finish. This is a Shishida-ryu Chikusui shinobue crafted by the second-generation flute maker, Chuichi Ito of Ito Takekanki Seisakusho, who inherited the Shishida-ryu lineage from the late Edo period. It was made in the late Showa era, over 40 years ago. The bamboo is well-dried, with a tasteful natural color, and the sound quality and tone are both excellent, resulting in a wonderful instrument.
