K&T J-5 O.F. pickups for 5-string Jazz Bass, not available for general sale. K&T's lineup primarily focuses on complete reproductions of vintage models, and they do not offer 5-string pickups commercially. These pickups were specially made in 2014 for the Crews Maniac Sound instrument fair model, and it's estimated that only about 10 sets were produced. They are the same model as those installed in the spalted maple top bass owned by Tamura of Spitz. True to K&T's reputation, these pickups offer excellent touch response, and I recall the sound having a very pleasant high-frequency sheen reminiscent of a '65 model. I removed them from a Crews 5-string bass I previously owned and kept them because of their exceptional sound and the fact that they are irreplaceable. However, I no longer need to play bass for anything other than a hobby, and I've sold all my 5-string basses, so I am now offering these for sale.
