Antique French linen cloth. This is a handkerchief made of high-quality, fine-count linen with a soft drape. It features a wreath-like motif of crossed laurel branches and a woman's name, subtly hand-embroidered. This beautiful, gray-toned square cloth is a handkerchief with a charming texture unique to high-quality, old, fine linen threads. Delicate white thread embroidery subtly adorns the center. The small eyelet/hole embroidery is delicate, cool, and lovely. Between two rows of hemstitching with small needle holes/missing stitches, there is wave/wavy line embroidery. The small scallop/petal rims are delicate. This is meticulous, delicate, and handcrafted white work. The color is an elegant, pale light gray, an antique ecru with a hint of gray, reminiscent of plaster. Woven with very fine linen threads, the fabric is very supple and smooth, with a soft drape. It is a thin linen fabric that is slightly translucent when held up to the light. Ironing enhances the beautiful appearance and texture, increasing its appeal. As with antique fabrics made from natural materials, you can see the cool weave and occasional knots and neps/lumps. I think it would be suitable for both brides and grooms, and also as a pocket square for a wedding (something old).
