Improved Version of Blue Cut Substitute: Vibration and Soundproofing Blocks (Pads) for Roller Stands and Cycle Trainers - Set of 6 I've created these blocks to prevent vibrations and noise when using indoor cycling training equipment (roller stands, cycle trainers, etc.). They are self-made and measure (width) 60mm x (depth) 60mm x (height) 38mm, the perfect size for placing the equipment's legs. While NR urethane rubber alone provided sufficient effect, I've added vibration-absorbing rubber to the top this time, making them even quieter. The combination of multiple materials achieves quietness. This combination is the result of trial and error. The vibration-absorbing rubber absorbs large-wavelength vibrations, while the sponge rubber evenly distributes the load and absorbs small vibrations and sounds (such as low-frequency sounds). The effect has been confirmed using a cycle trainer in an apartment building. Also, when used with a cycle trainer, they allow for some lateral movement, which reduces the load on the frame. This also provides a more realistic riding feel. I understand that some people may be concerned about the effectiveness, so I'll show the measurement results in my environment (see image 4). Measurement Environment ・Flooring: Flooring ・Trainer: CYCLOTRON FLUID ST ・Tires: Zaffiro Pro Home Trainer Tires Results Average before installation: 72.75db (noisy office, vacuum cleaner) Average after block installation: 57.25db (office, normal indoor conversation) The combination of CYCLOTRON FLUID ST and home trainer tires is already considered quiet, but even so, placing it directly on the flooring causes a "booming" low-frequency sound to reflect from the floor. In contrast, as is clear from the numbers, the low-frequency sound is noticeably eliminated after installing the blocks, and the sound is mostly just the trainer and crank rotating. Although vibration measurements have not been taken, it is clearly shut down. I have received comments from previous successful bidders such as "I was allowed to use Zwift at night" and "I confirmed the effect even with a direct drive trainer," and I believe that everyone will be able to experience this effect.
