This is a Vandoren Eb clarinet B44 mouthpiece. The list price is 18,800 yen (including tax) as of the listing date. It's a standard model, similar to the 5RV Lyre for Bb clarinet (the 5RV Lyre for Eb clarinet is a slightly extreme model). Buffet Crampon uses this mouthpiece as a reference, and this model is included with their Eb clarinets. In recent years, Eb clarinet mouthpieces from BD and other companies have been released, but many have intonation quirks. Having this mouthpiece allows you to determine whether intonation issues are due to the instrument or the mouthpiece, making it a valuable standard mouthpiece for Eb clarinets. The tone is a brilliant and bright sound typical of Eb clarinets. It works well with relatively hard reeds (3.5 or higher). It produces a brilliant sound, making it stand out in orchestras and ensembles. However, it is not recommended if your goal is to blend into an ensemble, so please choose accordingly. I have hardly used it after trying it out and purchasing it. There are no noticeable scratches except for a slightly faded logo. Please take a look at the photos and purchase with your understanding.
