Two interior objet d'art displayed in a high-class Japanese restaurant. Following the saying "The crane lives for a thousand years, the turtle for ten thousand years!", this is a set of two craft items: a pair of cast iron cranes from Takaoka City, Fukui Prefecture, and a wooden turtle made of Yakusugi cedar from Yakushima, Kagoshima Prefecture. The pair of cranes comes with polypropylene bases. They are auspicious craft items with the metallic sound unique to cast iron and the beautiful, dignified necks of the cranes. The height of the male crane to the top of its head is 15cm, with a width of 10cm. The female crane is 11cm tall with a width of 8cm. There are traces of decorative scratches on the lower parts of both cranes and the bases (see photos). The wooden turtle craft item made of Yakusugi cedar is a hand-carved trinket box with the shell on its back serving as a lid. It was displayed year-round in the restaurant, so guests seem to have opened and touched it. The shell, head, and legs are also made of Yakusugi cedar, and the trinket box and shell are painted in a mahogany color. There are some scratches on the turtle's belly, which is the decorative surface (see photos). The turtle is 19cm long, and the shell is 8cm high. This is an interior objet d'art with bases, perfect for those who love auspicious decorations. While no major scratches or damage are apparent, these are used items from a high-class restaurant, so they are considered to have some minor scratches and stains.
