Montblanc Meisterstück 149 fountain pen with a 14C F (fine) nib, from the 1970s. Many fountain pen enthusiasts consider this 149 from the 70s to be the best. It is particularly famous as the model used by Ken Kaiko (see "Fountain Pen Evaluation Room" on the web). Features of the vintage 1970s 14C mid-white fountain pen include: (1) The nib has a long-sword-like grind (also known as a square grind, as opposed to a round grind). (2) The feed is made of ebonite. (3) The clip has a sloping shoulder shape. (4) The filling mechanism on the end of the barrel is made of resin, not metal (however, the Ken Kaiko model has a silver-colored metal one). This item possesses all of these characteristics. The writing experience is superb, and the appearance is beautiful; it is a very fine Montblanc fountain pen.
