Upon checking the serial number, I've determined this is a 2011 Squire Mustang model. It's the same model used by a character in the anime "K-On!" Mustangs are most famously associated with Char, but they also suit players with smaller hands, like Kurt Cobain of Nirvana. Looking at other models for sale, many don't have the dynamic vibrato, which is key to this model's sound. While it has drawbacks like going out of tune easily, I've adjusted this one as far back as possible to minimize that issue. Regarding the mysterious controls, the center position of the slide switch is off. Setting both switches in the same direction simultaneously gives a pure mix, while setting them in opposite directions creates a phase-out effect. Naturally, the sound is better with a mix of both pickups than just one. Char seems to dislike it, but the unique phase sound is also interesting.
