The excitement surrounding MMA in Japan during this time was extraordinary, and the general recognition of the fighters was also incredible. They even appeared on commercials and variety shows (for example, Wanderlei Silva). I wonder if fighters like Gomi or Kid Yamamoto ever made the cover of Number, but did any mixed martial artists appear on the cover after Fedor or Mirko (I don't really follow it anymore, so I don't know)... Rereading these for this sale, I was reminded that the "mixed martial arts" of this era, when PRIDE was the best stage, was more interesting than the current "MMA" where the UFC has become dominant (I apologize to those who like it). The difference between these and the Kakutogi Tsushin magazines I'm also selling is the higher quality of the photos, and thanks to the investment, there are in-depth on-site reports, such as interviews focusing on Chute Boxe and Combat Sambo, in addition to those featuring Mirko and Nogueira. Also, there are many articles worth reading, such as an interview with Akira Maeda, who deserves great credit for bringing Nogueira and Fedor to Japan. Please also check the photos for the content.
