This is a kiln tool with the kiln mark "胴②ロ" (image 2, 3) written on it. There is a kiln scar on the inside, but it doesn't seem to go all the way through to the bottom. According to a book on Bizen ware, the clay from the late Muromachi period to the Momoyama period often had iron particles, like freckles, that would burst out from within the clay. The base has an abata kodai (pitted foot), and it was made by placing it on ash on a stand. It works quite well as a flower vase using a kenzan (flower frog) or a bottle.
