This is a highly rare US original pressing of "Lulu," the collaboration (or perhaps, controversial work?) of the 21st century, featuring the solitary poet Lou Reed and the powerhouse metal band Metallica. It includes the original outer sleeve with sticker, the original lyric sheet, and the disc is in excellent condition. This premium item trades for over 100,000 yen overseas. There are two versions, the EU original and the US original, but many people prefer to listen to the record from its home country, the US. This US original pressing is cut by the renowned American engineer Bernie Grundman. I'm not very familiar with Metallica, and this album was my first time hearing their music, but it's an amazing collaboration... It's like there's incredible hard rock playing in the background, but it matches well with Lou Reed, and yet they don't try to conform to each other – this is truly the strongest chemical reaction. CDs are also trading at very high prices, but many people still want to listen to it on vinyl. In recent years, there have been reissues of Lou Reed's records, but this collaboration with Metallica (due to rights issues?) is unlikely to be reissued. In fact, I don't think it's possible. As of now, the original pressing is the only vinyl available. Even if it were reissued, it would likely drive up the price of the original even further, making it even harder to obtain. This is a very rare record, currently trading for over 100,000 yen overseas. The disc is pristine and can be considered near-mint. As you can see from my past reviews, my impressions are generally consistent with those of buyers, but please purchase only if you understand used records. There are, of course, no critical playback issues, but the sound quality and playback condition can vary depending on the playback environment, including the shape and wear of the stylus, the characteristics of the cartridge, arm settings, tracking force, and the overall combination of playback equipment.
