The firing has a carbonized and charcoal-like roughness, but it has a strong presence. Even though it's rough, it's only the surface that's coarse, and it's quite sturdy. It's a square plate made by warping a board about 6mm thick. The thickness from the warped part is about 16mm. Weight is about 310g.
