This is a suzuri (inkstone) estimated to be made of Duanxi stone from China. The lid shows stone patterns and purple spots. It appears to be about 100 years old. It looks beautiful and cute, but it's a good inkstone, heavy in weight. The sound of the clear stone hitting each other when the lid closes is pleasant. The size is 14.1cm long x 9.2cm wide x 2cm high. Thank you.
