Rare Leica Elmar 50mm 5cm f3.5 M-mount One of 2992 manufactured in 1954, serial number 1140051. I recently purchased this to add to my collection. While the market price is often around 100,000 yen, I bought it for 65,000 yen because it had been overhauled by Nakamura Kogaku in 2020. However, I found a cleaning scratch on the front element that I couldn't see in the photos. I am not satisfied with it for my collection, so I will sell it. The finish of this era is smoked silver and looks cool. ▫️Appearance▫️ There are small scratches due to age, but there are no major scratches, and it gives the impression of being clean for its age. I cleaned each of the knurls, so it's cleaner than when I bought it. 1. Aperture operation: No problem. 2. Collapsible lens play: None. Slightly tight. 3. Helicoid: Light and easy to operate. 4. Stopper: Locks, but looser than other Elmars; I think it's wear and tear for this age. ▫️Optics▫️ Visible with LED light, there are cleaning scratches and slight haze on the front element.
