This is a bell for a large-bore tenor trombone made by S.E. Shires. It is a custom series bell, model number 7G (gold brass bell). The 7G bell is rare and I believe it is valuable due to its limited availability. Model 7 is a two-piece bell that reproduces the sound of a one-piece bell using a two-piece construction. Solder is applied to the bell rim. The flare of the 7 bell is thinner than the 1 and 2 bells, giving it excellent projection like a one-piece bell. Made of gold brass, it provides a balanced and flexible sound. It is characterized by a warm tone with a solid core. There is some lacquer bubbling in places, and there is some evidence of use, but overall it is in good condition with no noticeable scratches or stains. Please check the photos for details. It will be shipped in a black semi-hard case (with a strap). Please note that the semi-hard case will be used as the outer packaging, and will not be packed inside another box.
