☆ This is a "Masu Ami-Ami" (square weave) bamboo colander, carefully crafted from fresh madake bamboo (from Fukuoka Prefecture). The strips of bamboo are meticulously beveled one by one for a beautiful and sturdy finish.
☆ The rim is bound and secured with a 2mm wide Yamato-kagari stitch.
☆ This is a high-quality, domestically-produced bamboo colander with excellent drainage and breathability. Bamboo colanders are ideal for cooking because they don't easily form a film of water, allowing for quick drainage. They are also resistant to high temperatures and are made from natural materials, so they are safe to use.
☆ It can be used in any season and the delicate weave is beautiful, making it suitable for display as storage (^^)
