I was organizing my mother's photos and found this. The attached seating chart has the following description: "Taken on July 26th, Meiji 38 (1905), when Field Marshal Aritomo Yamagata, Chief of the General Staff, received the Imperial command and, accompanied by the staff of the General Headquarters, went to Manchuria to inspect the battlefields." I believe it's a rare photograph.
