Products from this era are often nearly half a century old, and many don't work even after purchase, or run roughly. (Recently, I received a repair request for a Märklin product from someone who purchased it on Mercari.) This one has been overhauled, taking a considerable amount of time. The locomotive was completely disassembled, the drive system cleaned, and necessary maintenance performed. It runs smoothly. The reversing mechanism for forward and reverse, and the lights, are all in perfect working order. There are no missing parts. Also, the body has been cleaned with a special foam washing machine and an ultrasonic cleaner, so most oil stains should be removed. This locomotive has three front lights (bulbs replaced with new ones) and dummy rear lights. It's a model that has a great atmosphere just by displaying it. This item will be sold without the original box, just the locomotive itself. The reason the item condition is listed as "has scratches and dirt" is because it's a vintage item over 50 years old. While there are minor scratches and signs of aging, the overall condition is not too bad, as shown in the photos.
