The hood can be stored in the collar pocket. I believe it's a jacket that can be folded compactly for portability, but I've forgotten how to fold it. There's a cord on the left sleeve, so I assume you use that to make it smaller. It's very light. There's a tear inside the pocket, but it's not visible from the outside.
