It aims to improve the sound, focus, and projection. You can also feel a slight change in tone. This one is made of brass and tends to produce a bright and clear sound. This part is made based on a nut. It has been cut to match the taper of the mouthpiece and heat-treated. The surface is slightly rough to prevent slipping. (The inside is polished to prevent damage to the mouthpiece.) Although it has been finished, the original dents on the surface remain. The taper is based on the V.Bach standard, so it should fit most standard mouthpieces. I have confirmed that it can be attached to Yamaha and Denis Wick mouthpieces. The weight is about 10g, and the thickness is about 9mm. The depth of the shank insertion varies depending on the instrument, so please check in advance if there is enough room for installation before considering it. I have confirmed that it can be used without problems on a V.Bach 42B. The playing feel will increase resistance slightly due to the attachment, but it is not as heavy as making a normal weight mouthpiece a heavy weight, so the change in playing feel will be minimal. I think it's good if you want a little more power for your mouthpiece, or if you want to project the sound further in outdoor performances. I made this because I wanted to use a weight myself, but there didn't seem to be many of these types of parts for large shanks. I would appreciate it if you would consider it.
