Deba knife, blade length 17.7cm, 306g. The spine is about 7.0mm thick near the top of the heel. It's Arimasa, not Aritsugu. It seems to be a brand from a while back. It's not often seen even in the used market. It's a genuine kasumi (layered steel) knife made by forging soft iron and steel together. The rust marks are mostly gone, but upon close inspection, faint marks and small scratches remain, especially around the maker's mark, so please check the photos carefully. It's a fairly large size, close to 18cm, but the tang inside the handle was even larger, so I replaced the handle with a slightly larger size. It seems like it will still be usable for a while. I sharpened it thoroughly, put an edge on it, and polished it. Please see my profile for the detailed restoration process.
