It's a shoulder bag. The front appears to be leather, while the inside and back seem to be made of nylon. The color is brown, and the shade of brown varies subtly between the different materials and the shoulder strap. I couldn't find a tag, so I'm not sure of the brand or exact materials, but it seems easy to use with its many storage compartments, such as zippers and pockets.
