This is a white uchikake (outer kimono) for a Japanese wedding bride. The material is pure silk. It is made with fuki cotton padding. The silver thread wave and flying crane floral pattern looks like embroidery, but it is actually karaori (a type of woven fabric that creates a raised, three-dimensional effect). The waves have glitter in them. As shown in image 10, there is a small stain near the fuki on the upper front. As shown in images 11 and 12, there is a light stain on the lining.
