This could not be removed even with cleaning. This is likely due to the soft glass material of the time, and is common with old lenses. Overall, it is clear and clean, but it appears to have a slightly blue haze? I have experience with Carl ZEISS Tessar lenses, and I have seen many Tessar lenses with this slight haze. I don't know the reason for this tendency. The aperture blades are rust-free and move in a circular shape. The exterior has overall paint peeling, and has been repainted.
