You can wear it to entrance ceremonies or Shichi-Go-San (a Japanese festival for children) with a jacket, or to weddings with a shawl. The length is about 7-8 cm above the knee on me, who is 154 cm tall (there may be some error as it is amateur measurement...). I usually wore it with leggings. The original price was around 20,000 yen.
