Thank you for viewing. This item was found while cleaning out my parents' china cabinet. It has been kept in its box, unused. I have wiped the surface with a lightly dry towel. It's called a "tokkuri-bakama," so it seems to be a small plate used to stabilize a tokkuri (sake bottle), but it also seems suitable for holding small sweets. It appears to be lacquerware from Shikoku Kogeisha, which is now closed. It is made of natural wood with a lacquer finish and is very light. Please refer to the photos for the size.
