Tsumugi kimono with a pattern of multi-colored flowers and leaves. I purchased this item on this site as a new, unused item with the original basting threads still attached. The sleeve length was 64cm, so I had it altered to 66cm here. I've selected a brand of Honba Yūki Tsumugi, but I can't confirm if it's authentic. There is a certification tag. I'm not very knowledgeable about tsumugi, but most of the tsumugi kimonos I own are made of silk floss. They are very light. The fabric feels warm like flannel, is thin, and yet durable. Oshima Tsumugi seems to have a stronger fabric feel. Oh, and I've actually washed it in the washing machine at home. It was completely fine. I don't dislike Oshima Tsumugi either. It has a rustling sound, and it feels cold in the winter... just my personal opinion. I've removed the basting threads and had it altered, but I haven't worn it.
