Handle shaft: 316 high-grade stainless steel, made in Japan Hex nut: Brass, made in Japan The handle shaft is machined from a single piece of 316 stainless steel. During handling, the handle screw is only in one place, reducing the loosening of the screw. Minor scratches may occur due to the metal construction. Those who are concerned about this or seek a perfect product should refrain from purchasing. 316 stainless steel is even more resistant to rust than general 304 stainless steel, due to an increased amount of nickel and the addition of molybdenum, making it a hard and durable stainless steel. It cannot withstand salt water with prolonged exposure. Please wash it with the reel after use. It can be used with the original W handles of Abu 1500 to 6500 series and the straight W handles of old Daiwa bait reels without a retainer. Some custom handle manufacturers for Abu reels have models where the 8mm diameter part is about 7.6mm. You can make it fit by shaving about 0.2mm off each side that contacts the screw. Use calipers and shave a little at a time. If you shave too much, you will need a retainer. Handles that are bent on the reel body side cannot be used. The knob position is about 6mm closer to the reel body than the original handle, and the handle plate is set at a right angle to the handle shaft, resulting in smoother handling than the original handle.
