High-quality recording is possible simply by connecting to the Lightning connector of your iOS device. *Please note that recording will not work even if you use a conversion adapter or other devices!!* (I struggled with that myself, so I don't want anyone else to go through the same thing) I've used it several times for work, and the sound quality is good, and data handling is easy.
