This is a gorgeous fukuro obi featuring a beautiful arrangement of chrysanthemums blooming vibrantly against a moist, leather-like purple Urushi-ori (lacquer weave) background. The white, pink, and yellow chrysanthemums have beautifully graduated petals in Kara-ori (Chinese weave), and the purple leaves surrounding the flowers are also depicted with gradations of light and dark. The lustrous texture of the purple Urushi-ori will also beautifully adorn a mature, sophisticated woman. It appears that there is no obi core, making it a very soft and easy-to-tie obi.
