Although we live in an area where it doesn't snow, we used it for playing in the snow about twice. It was very useful for keeping warm, such as when using a stroller or riding a bicycle. It's reversible, with the yellow side being water-repellent for playing in the snow, and the fleece side for everyday use. The chest area opens wide with a zipper, making it easy to put on and take off. The crotch area can be opened and closed with snap buttons, making diaper changes quick. Since it was used when the child was lying down or in a baby carrier, there are some small, rubbed-off pills on the stomach and back, but it's exceptionally warm and functional.
