This is a bag woven from "kuzu" (kudzu) fiber made by the Kham people in a village near Oudomxay, northern Laos. The Kham people are very skilled, twisting the kudzu vine fibers with their hands and shins and then knitting them with knitting needles. Lightweight and very durable, kudzu was once used as fishing nets, so it can hold a lot of items. It is loosely woven so you can see the contents, making it attractive for use with a bag-in-bag. The kudzu fiber feels good against the skin and the natural color matches any style. The larger one in the fifth photo is the L size.
