Made by Marusan, the actual vehicle is the "Giant" three-wheeled truck manufactured by Aichi Machine Industry. It's a dump truck model, and you can raise and lower the bed with the handle on the chassis. The rear wheels make a clicking sound when turned. It is not friction-powered. This toy was not a scale model like those of other companies, but was sold simply as a toy for children to play with in the sand. It is made of thick tinplate that is designed to withstand rough play, and it originally did not have any windows (front or side). This item for sale does not include a shovel or wheelbarrow. The toy itself does not appear to have been played with roughly by children, but it is, of course, old. There is some dullness, dirt, rust, and peeling/blackening of the plating on the painted surfaces.
