This is a tile fragment from the Hiyoshi Temple ruins in Numazu. The temple existed from the Hakuhō period to the early Heian period. After a partial survey in the 1950s, the foundation stones were moved to a small shrine, and tile fragments were scattered there. It seems that it has been recently redeveloped, and they are no longer scattered there.
