I am currently sorting through inherited items. This is an item from my grandfather's collection, who was a collector of antiques. It's a matcha tea bowl with a very atmospheric and impressive design, reminiscent of a beautiful, fantastical sunset Fuji, contrasting the yin and yang, and a silhouette of a silent, red Fuji bathed in the morning sun. It's an antique, a tea ceremony utensil, and a piece of antique pottery. It appears to be quite old. A name is inscribed on the bottom. It was carefully stored under a display shelf in the back room of the tea room in the storehouse, so it is likely a very good item. The bowl is made of a cream-colored clay, like bisque, with a translucent white glaze. On the side, within the white glaze, is a majestic and magnificent depiction of Mount Fuji, evoking the beginning of a day illuminated by the morning sun. The outline of the mountain is remarkably drawn with a single brushstroke. Inside the tea bowl, a fiery reddish-brown, grayish glaze mixes with a reddish-brown glaze, as if Mount Fuji is wearing the sunset itself, and the Fuji is dyed red. It's a very fantastical and magnificent view, as if you are looking down at the red Fuji from directly above, creating a beautiful contrast of yin and yang, and bringing out many different atmospheres depending on where you look. It's a truly wonderful and atmospheric item. Size: 15.5cm wide, 6cm high, a well-balanced item. There is no box, but I will carefully pack and ship it. My grandfather was a hospital director in his lifetime and owned many works, including paintings and pottery by Living National Treasures, and he boasted about them, so I think they are all very good items. My grandchild and my mother are not very interested in antiques, and we don't know which works are by whom or what kind of pottery they are. I don't know if the items I'm selling are Imari ware, Kutani ware, Shigaraki ware, or Seto ware. Even if they are wonderful works of art or very expensive items by a large number of antiques or Living National Treasures, I have no idea of their value.
