The box and the surface of the lid are yellowed due to aging. Brand new, unused item. This was part of a family collection. Details unknown. It's a small tea set, so how about using it for children's doll play, dollhouses, or miniature crafting? I only opened the lid to take pictures. I haven't taken the set out, so I don't know about the underside, etc. Due to long-term storage at home, there may be signs of aging, scratches, or damage.
