This is a long server spoon by woodworker Toshio Abiko, who creates his pieces in Motegi, next to Mashiko, Tochigi Prefecture. Made from chestnut wood, it's lightweight and durable, and finished with beeswax. The dimensions are: total length 30.7cm, spoon head 7cm (length) x 5.1cm (width) x 1cm (height). Purchased at a solo exhibition of Mr. Abiko's work at the craft shop "knulpAA gallery" in Kami-Shakujii Park, Tokyo. It is a new, unused item stored at home, but it has a natural texture from the beginning. Therefore, if you are looking for a perfect item, it might be best to refrain from purchasing.
