How about a place to put your glasses on your bedside table or desk?
It can be used for various things, such as a small item holder.
It has a rounded knit, so it's not very stable, but it can stand on its own if you shape it.
It won't tip over if you put in something light like glasses, but
it will tip over if you put in something heavy that puts weight on the side.
It's knitted in two layers, front and back, so it's thick, and as you can see in the third photo, the holes in the knit are less noticeable even when stretched.
