Instead of covering up many of these characteristics that would disappear if we applied a lot of color or processed the surface, we leave them as they are. We value the natural texture of the leather and have it made that way. The fact that people say HERZ bags "have character" or "have flavor" is also because of this natural leather. Some people are a little surprised when they first touch natural leather, but we hope they will feel the breath of nature and enjoy the leather to the fullest. ■ Scars Scratches in the leather. These are the marks of scratches that occurred when the cow was alive. It is truly proof of natural leather. ■ Tiger Stripes Also known as "tiger stripes," these are streaks of vertical patterns. They are often seen around the neck, shoulders, and back, where wrinkles tend to form. Of course, the pattern of each one is different, and the areas where tiger stripes appear are limited. Perhaps because of this, many leather lovers like these tiger stripes, and they are one of the important textures that enrich the expression of HERZ bags. They are not found in all leather, so it's a matter of chance. ■ Blood Vessels These leaf-vein-like patterns are the traces of blood vessels that ran just beneath the skin of the cow, similar to the veins seen on the back of a human hand. The shape and how they remain vary from piece to piece, and this is also one of the important elements that create a leather-like expression. ■ Color Unevenness Just like humans, the density of the fibers varies depending on the part of the leather, and the fineness and texture also differ. Even within a small area, there are differences, so the way the color dyes also changes. This can appear on the surface as shades of color.
