The material is probably synthetic leather, embossed. There's a magnet closure at the bag's opening, which closes securely. It's small and made of a stiff material, so it's a little difficult to put things in and take them out, but it feels like a durable material. There's some peeling at the opening, but it doesn't affect use at all. Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to used items.
