My mother-in-law, who was a master craftswoman, left behind a collection of temari (hand balls). Those who have purchased them have raved about their precise and meticulous craftsmanship. These are truly elaborate works. The piece on the left is incredibly detailed, with colorful triangles creating a large hexagon and small pentagons, embroidered in red. Double black embroidery makes them look like roses. Diameter: Approximately 11cm The piece on the right is also very colorful. White thread is embroidered to divide the surface into fourths and sixths, and unique motifs are created within each section using triangles.
